Now that the awkward phase of not knowing how to use my camera is over, the fun (and my summer 2015 recap) can begin...
The biggest adventure my little Fujifilm and I went on this summer was up to the Edinburgh Fringe for three weeks with 'Wonderland' (Central Hall Musical Society from UoY). But before we could make the three hour train journey up to beautiful Scotland we spent three weeks in York creating the show from scratch (I can take no credit at all for that, people just told me to move places on a stage and I did!)
Those three weeks in York consisted of very long days with little opportunity for polaroiding, so once I got to Edinburgh I went crazy...so crazy I'm having to split these photos into two batches! Batch number one (couldn't think of a more inventive title....so sorry) is a collection of photos from the Royal Mile, and don't be fooled, my blue dress looks amazing but it was made out of LEATHER, beautiful in normal weather, horrible once the temperature gets above 15 degrees.
We set up everyday at the bottom of the Royal Mile to try and convince the people of Edinburgh to come to our show, and despite my initial reluctance by the end of our three week run I found embarrassing myself in order to get an audience for our show strangely cathartic (even if vast masses of young children didn't want flyer, just to meet Alice!)
All in all, the Royal Mile treated me very well, there was even a Starbucks where they spelt my surname right!
Batch number two of more eclectic Edinburgh photos will be uploaded soon, but in the meantime, enjoy the Royal Mile (it helps to enlarge these photos) in all it's glory!
